Kitchen Backsplash Refresher

Oh the joy of seeing white! My backsplash has been dark for so long, creating crazy shadows and deep pockets of really nothing special. It served it's purpose when it was done, but now, I'm so happy to share my new and improved fresher than fresh look!

Some befores...

I forgot to take the before, before I took off the switch plate.

The deep dark cavernous corner.

And some afters....

No trim yet but close to being done.

I had to paint white between the seams or the dark would show through. Just a light coat. And yep, that stuff is wall paper! So easy to work with and everyone who has come over actually walks right up and touches it because they can't believe it's wall paper. All for the amazing low price of $24.99 a roll at Home Depot.

Dressed just for pics taken at night with a flash. Couldn't wait! Since then I've put the trim on. And I'm updating the handles too! Little things making a huge difference. Now to primp the space and I'll take the panoramic soon!

I'm linking up at Debbie Doos Linky Party
and at Primp

  1. This is wallpaper?????!!!!! Wow! Love it and a lot cheaper than getting real wood beadboard. :)

  2. I've been so tempted to buy it, it looks great under your kitchen cabinets, you will have to show a full pic whrn you are done! Great job on it!

  3. WOW what fresh makeover that is. What a neat project to share. Really shows you what you can do with a little imagination, time and paint. Thanks for sharing at my newbie party.

  4. Thanks back at ya for visiting my site! I just pinned this wallpaper to my Pinterest!! :)

  5. Love the beadboard wallpaper! It looks fantastic! Definitely brightens things up. Can't wait to see it with the trim up for the big reveal. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I'm hosting my monthly Before Blogging Throwback Thursdays party, and would love for you to come show off something you bought, did, or created Before Blogging. Can't wait to see what you bring to the party.

  6. Love how much like the real thing this wallpaper looks!
